About Us
Our kennel was officially founded in 2011, though we welcomed our first companion Siberian into our lives in 2004. This breed has become the center of our lives and the love and appreciation only grows deeper by the day! We look forward to sharing our dedication to this breed with current and future Siberian owners that visit our site.
Here at Keahi Siberian Huskies, all of our dogs are loved family companions first and competitors second. We like to keep our activities diversified and feel it helps keep our dogs well rounded and ready to meet all aspects of life with confidence. We enjoy a variety of harness sports that include carting (dry land mushing), sledding, and weight pulling. These activities are our primary focus and provide us many wonderful miles of enjoyment with our dogs out on the trails. We compete in AKC Conformation showing on a more recreational basis as well as enjoy recreational hiking, biking, and playing with everyone in the dog yard in our spare time. We did take a few years off recently to do a complete restructure, we will be returning to the trails soon!
When we do plan breedings, our main focus is producing healthy puppies with excellent temperaments and sound structure that conform to the breed standard. We are proud to follow the SHCA Code Of Ethics and the SHCA Ethical Breeding Guidelines. All of our dogs that we consider for breeding purposes are OFA (hips) and OFA/SHOR (eye) certified. You will find links to each dogs current health certifications located on their profile pages as well as links to each dog's pedigree.
Please enjoy our site, where we aim to showcase our dogs, provide a variety of breed information, as well as information about the specific activities we enjoy with our dogs. We also offer a monthly blog that tackles a variety of information. From what we've been up to, to how we do things here at Keahi Siberians, to helpful tips and hints.
